Welcome to Syracuse University’s Office of Research Integrity and Protections (ORIP) web page. ORIP supports the institution in ensuring the University’s solid commitment to compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards.

The office provides assistance to faculty, staff and students who are working with animals or humans in research and provides administrative support for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). ORIP also works collaboratively with the Environmental Health Office and Microbiological Safety Program to address issues concerning Biohazards in Research.
